Firebrick is a deep, warm red, and on the Stegmann Original 108 it turns a classic wool clog into a statement piece. This women's version is sized EU 36 to 42 / US W 5 to 11 / US M 3 to 9. Like every 108, it has an open back and a roomy toe box, so the toes are not squeezed and you can slip the clog on in a second.

Felted merino wool forms both the outside and the inside. The upper is formed in one piece and has no separate insole, which means your foot rests directly on wool felt. Below it, a cork-latex blend makes up the anatomical midsole. Stegmann lists a heel height of 1 inch, a toe height of 0.75 inch and about 8 oz per shoe in a mid size.

Textured rubber on the outsole gives grip, and the clog is flexible and of medium width. Skip the washing machine; use a felt brush to lift lint and debris, dab spots with a bit of gentle soap and lukewarm water, then leave it to air-dry. Firebrick red looks lovely with cream, denim and gray for women who like a bold color.
